This tank is one of my models and the idea for it came when a fellow builder suggested this other tank for the MMM-site and showed me a variation wich he had made. He used some 1 1/2" strips with sprocket chain around it to provide his tank with tracks.
Some bulding tips:
- The tracks are made each by wrapping some sprocket chain around a stack of three narrow strips.
- The obtuse angle brackets at the front and rear bottom ate not bolted but clamped between other parts.
- The collar in the turret is only held in place by two bolts.
- A nut to fasten the gun is clamped between the collar and a narrow double bracket. This also prevents the turret tipping over forward.
Enjoy.
